3G mobile internet… how fast…?

The fast evolving telecommunications technology are beginning to emerged…
HSDPA is a newer technology a.k.a. 3.5G more advance to 3G platforms. Its capable of 3.6Mbps of speed transfer… My goodness… either Smart, Globe or any telecom here in the Philippines couldn’t utilize that much of speed over the air thru RF, due to its systems capabilities and the pricing that will be reflected to subscribers. Maybe beginning of 2010 they could maximize its feautures and may came along cheaper.

I tested it from my mobile phone, RAZR V6maxx w/ HSDPA;
1. Smart Sim > Internet > 10pesos per 30mins.
2. Globe Sim > Internet > 5pesos per 15mins.

Smart:
- Has maximum 384kbps bandwidth, its in the local 3G spectrum.
- You have to be in a location with a good 3G signal…

Globe:
- A bit faster than 384kbps or up to 512kbps maximum, its in the 3.5G spectrum.
- You have to be in a location with a good 3G signal…
- sometimes speed fluctuates…

Performance of SmartBro prepaid and USB, are the same. It also runs from a 3g / 3.5g signal on the cellular frequency bandwidth.
Same goes with Globe’s Visibility….

Applications is best only for web browsing and emails. Be sure you wont be attaching large files or even upload/download bigger file size.

So if you want a fast internet connection anytime anywhere taht you can hooked up to your mobile PC, try to get a mobile phone which is HSDPA capable….

How would you like to hide your files/scripts on jpeg file image….hhmmm???

For newbies who would like to explore how to hide your files… Hiding it in another way like putting it in an image file… You can actually hide it to an image file or picture… Viewers could only see the actual image, but the file you’ve hide is in that pic without knowing that it has a hidden file content. Can you picture it out?

Okay here’s how…

If you’re looking to hide files on your PC hard drive, you may have read about ways to encrypt folders or change the attributes on a file so that they cannot be accessed by prying eyes. However, a lot of times hiding files or folders in that way requires that you install some sort of software on your computer, which could then be spotted by someone else.

Here I’m going to show you a new way to hide files that is very counter-intuitive and therefore pretty safe! Using a simple trick in Windows, you can actually hide a file inside of the JPG picture file!

You can actually hide any type of file inside of an image file, including txt, exe, mp3, avi, or whatever else. Not only that, you can actually store many files inside of single JPG file, not just one! This can come in very handy if you need to hide files and don’t want to bother with encryption and all that other technical stuff.
Hide File in Picture

In order to accomplish this task, you will need to have either WinZip or WinRAR installed on your computer. You can download either of these two off the Internet and use them without having to pay anything. Here are the steps for creating your hidden stash:

* Create a folder on your hard drive, i.e. C:\Test and put in all of the files that you want to hide into that folder. Also, place the image that you will be using to hide the files in.

null

* Now select all of the files that you want to hide, right-click on them, and choose the option to add them to a compressed ZIP or RAR file. Only select the files you want to hide, not the picture. Name it whatever you want, i,e. “Hidden.rar”.
null

Now you should have a folder that looks something like this with files, a JPG image, and a compressed archive:

null

* Now here’s the fun part! Click on Start, and then click on Run. Type in “CMD” without the quotes and press Enter. You should now see the command prompt window open. Type in “CD \” to get to the root directory. Then type CD and the directory name that you created, i.e. “CD Test“.

null

* Now type in the following line: “copy /b DSC06578.JPG + Hidden.rar DSC06578.jpg” and press Enter. Do not use the quotes. You should get a response like below:
null

Just make sure that you check the file extension on the compressed file, whether it is .ZIP or .RAR as you have to type out the entire file name with extension in the command. I have heard that some people say that they have had problems doing this with a .ZIP extension, so if that doesn’t work, make sure to compress to a .RAR file.

And that’s it! The picture file will have been updated with the compressed archive inside! You can actually check the file size of the picture and see that it has increased by the same amount as the size of the archive.

You can access your hidden file in two ways. Firstly, simply change the extension to .RAR and open the file using WinRAR. Secondly, you can just right-click on the JPG image and choose Open With and then scroll down to WinRAR. Either way, you’ll see your hidden files show up that you can then extract out.

null

That’s it! That is all it takes to hide files inside JPG picture files! It’s a great way simply because not many people know it’s possible and no one even thinks about a picture as having to the ability to “hide” files. Enjoy!

How to change ICONS in UIQ3 fones > SE P990i

null

First of all we need to have access to the protected folders on our phone, if you haven´t do yet you can view a little tutorial HERE!

After you can access to the protected folders, you are going to follow the next steps:

  1. Download the next icon package, this is a package extracted from WALKMAN 3.0 style by B.U.S.T.E.R. , it contains all the icons for the menu and the icons of the standby screen: ICONS PACKAGE.
  2. Extract the files and put on the memory stick of your phone, any ubication.
  3. Open Swiss Manager Pro (before that open CapsSwitch that you installed in the tutorial about how to access UIQ protected folders and press the button Switch to read a message that says “Caps are switched OFF”) and go to the folder where you have the files of the icon package.
  4. Copy all the files and go to C:\Resource\Apps\ and paste the files in that folder. Probably it appears you some messages that says “ALaunchIcon.mbm will be overwritten” and you press YES to those messages.
  5. That is!!! In some situations, when you open the Main menu you will see the changes inmediately, if not you can do 2 things: In Swiss Manager Pro go to “Task” nail, and here search for an application called Main menu (to view that application you have to configure SMP to view all the applications, even the system applications, the steps are in the article HOW TO CONFIGURE SWISS MANAGER PRO) select the application with the cursor and press the button to kill application, then go to the standby screen and press the access to the Main menu; or you can restart your phone and see the changes.
